Abstract: Objective To explore the effect of fluoride varnish in preventing caries of primary teeth caries,and provide scientific basis for the establishment of oral health care. Method sTotally 496 children in middle group from 6 kindergartens in Changning district were voluntarily divided into experience group and control group.The children in experience group were taken the oral examination and used the fluoride varnishes every 6 months.The others in control group were taken the oral examination twice a year only.The data of caries incidence and new decayed missing and filledtooth (DMFTS) were analyze as the statistical index. Results Two years later,the caries incidence had significant differences between the two groups(P<0.05),the experience group was much lower than the control group.The new DMFTS was significant lower in the experience group. Conclusion The application of fluoride varnish can effectively prevent deciduous teeth caries spreading and keep mouth healthy.
