Abstract: Autism spectrum disorders (ASD) is one of the serious public problems affecting children′s health, characterized by social communication disorder, narrow interest or activity range and repetitive stereotyped behavior. In recent years, increasing studies have shown that the level of vitamin D (Vit D) in ASD children is significantly lower than that of healthy children with the same age,and vitamin D deficiency may be related to the pathogenesis of ASD.This paper reviews the research progress on vitamin D and ASD.
