Abstract: With advances in the ability to identify neurodevelopmental disorders in children at younger ages, doctors' information need for early intervention is increasing. This review summarizes the neurodevelopmental background, timing of initiating intervention, primary intervention approaches and predictors of treatment outcomes. And it is suggested that the combination of parent-mediated and direct clinician-implemented intervention can help improve children's prognosis.

Key words: neurodevelopmental disorders, early intervention, children
