Small for gestational age (SGA) infants usually have birth weight below the 10th percentile for infants of the same gestational age, or 2 standard deviations below the average body weight of the same gestational age. Studies have shown that there are many differences in physical growth and neurodevelopment between the SGA and appropriate for gestational age (AGA) infants. So this review aims to summarize the recent research progress in the growth and development patterns of SGA in recent years, thus to provide a reference for the assessment of growth and development and early clinical intervention of SGA children. %U https://manu41.magtech.com.cn/Jwk_zgetbjzz/EN/10.11852/zgetbjzz2020-0381
