Objective To explore status of father's involvement and impacts of the involvement on mental health of primary school students. Method A total of 735 primary school students were surveyed with the self-made questionnaire of father presence and the Self-assessment Lists of Primary School Students' Mental Health. Results Relationship with father got the highest score(4.53 ±0.76),interaction with father got the lowest points(3.31±1.15).Besides interpersonal in school, students' scores of other psychological health were higher than four points.Father's involvement could significantly predict the mental health of primary school students. Conclusion Father's involvement plays an important role for the mental health of primary school students.

Objective To demonstrate the intelligence development status and their influence factors of early school-aged children in western Shaanxi rural areas. Methods The children whose mothers had participated in the project "Multi-Micronutrient Supplementation during Pregnancy" were recruited from 2013 to 2014.Household social-demographic feature were collected by face to face interview.Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC-Ⅳ) was used to evaluate the children's intelligence quotient (IQ).Results A total of 1 621 children were included in the study. The mean of age-adjusted Full Scale intelligence quotient (FSIQ) was 89.9.Boys' scale (90.6) was higher than that of girls' (88.8) with significant difference. The means of boys' verbal comprehension index (89.5) and verbal comprehension index (95.1) were higher than those of girls' (86.0,90.5),while girls had higher score of working memory index(97.5 vs 94.9).The factors associated with children's IQ included gender, education level of their parents',education resource and delivery mode. Conclusions Children's IQ in western Shaanxi rural areas is significantly lower than the national average level.Childrens' mental development could be promoted by change parents' traditional view and improve their educational level.

Objective To explore the relationship between gratitude, perceived social support and life satisfaction among left-behind children. Method Based on gratitude, resentment and appreciation test and perceived social support scale(PSSS),333 left-behind children were investigated. Results Gratitude and perceived social support were all significantly positively associated with life satisfaction among left-behind children (r1=0.165,P<0.01;r2=0.260,P<0.001);And the effect of gratitude on life satisfaction was totally mediated by perceived social support. Conclusion Gratitude is a powerful inhibited factor for left-home children's life satisfaction, and this protective effect occur, through perceived social support.

Objective To investigate the development of selective attention in youngsters aged from 9 to 14.Methods Totally 87 youngsters aged from 9 to 14 participated and were divided into 3 groups:9 years old group (29),11 years old group (37) and 13 years old group (21).The study consisted of 3 experiments with ascending difficulty:experiment 1(judging the location of number),experiment 2(judging the value of number) and experiment 3(judging the value of specific number).Reaction times (RTs) and error rate (ER) were recorded. Results 1)RTs increased with the difficulty of experiments, while RTs decreased with age.2)ER increased with the difficulty of experiments. In expeaiment 1,ER of 11 years old group [(2.25±0.58) %] was the highest [9 years old group (0.86±0.25) %,13 years old group (1.09±0.33) %].In experiment 3,ER decreased with age.Difference between every two groups was significant.3)The distance effect of number processing in experiment 2 showed that RTs were significantly different between far numbers (1/2/8/9) and close numbers (3/4/6/7) in each age group. No significant difference was found in the D-values between the RTs of far numbers and close numbers between every two groups. Conclusions The speed of selective attention keeps developing from age 9~14,while a fluctuation phase in ER may occur at age 11~12.The distance effect keeps stable from age 9~14.

Objective To examine the reliability and validity of Developmental Coordination Disorder Questionnaire-Chinese version(DCDQ-C),and to provide an effective population-based screening tool for developmental coordination disorder. Methods A total of 3 316 children from 10 nursery schools in Suzhou city of mainland China were involved in the study.Cronbach'α was used to determine internal consistency.Test-retest reliability of the MABC-2 was estimated using Pearson Correlation Coefficieynt. The content validity was evaluated by the item-level content validity index (I-CVI).Both exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis was used to examine the construct validity of the MABC-2 test.Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) analysis was used to measure the Area Under Curve (AUC) value of the DCDQ-C as a screening instrument. Results The Results showed that both internal consistency (Cronbach'α value of all items were above 0.85) and test-retest reliability (13 items were above 0.9) were excellent.I-CVIs of all items were above 0.78,and suggested a fair content reliability of DCDQ-C.Exploratory factor analysis showed that almost all factor loadings of each items were above 0.7,and indicated a satisfactory construct validity.ROC analysis shows a comparative small AUC (0.641).Conclusions The Chinese version of the DCDQ has satisfactory internal consistency and reliability. However,it should be cautioned when used in younger preschool children.

Objective To explore the cognitive function and behavioral problems in school-age children with ventricular septal defect (VSD) after transcatheter intervention. Methods Patients who underwent trans-catheter closure of ventricular septal defect at Provincial Hospital Affiliated to Shandong University between January 2010 and December 2012,were recruited and received a day-long series of assessments, including ERP and CBCL (parents report). Results Compared with healthy controls, the mean P300 latencies in Fz and Cz leads were longer, and the P300 amplitude in Fz and Cz leads were lower in VSD patients. The subscale scores of depression, somatic problems and internalizing were higher in the VSD boys. The subscale scores of depression, compulsory, social withdrawal and rule-broking behavior were higher in the VSD girls. For VSD boys with depression, the mean P300 latencies was longer and the P300 amplitude was lower in Cz leads. For VSD boys with somatic problems, the mean P300 latencies was longer in Fz leads. For VSD girls with depression, the mean P300 latencies was longer and the P300 amplitude was lower in Cz leads. For VSD girls with compulsory, the P300 amplitude was lower in Fz leads. For VSD girls with social withdrawal, the mean P300 latencies was longer in Fz leads. For VSD girls with rule-broking behavior, the P300 amplitude was lower in Cz leads. Conclusion School-aged children who underwent transcatheter occlusion of ventricular septal defect exhibit some behavioral problems which were related with abnormal event related potentials.

Objectives To expolore the effects toserotonin level and long-term social-related behaviour via a transient early postnatal fluoxetine exposure on zebarafish larves. Methods The level of neurotransmitters were exmained and their respective metabolites were quantified by HPLC from whole brain of larves (3~6 days post fertization)exposure to fluoxetine as well as tested the long-term social-related behaviour on zebrafish (30 days post fertization)quantified by social preference test. Results The level of 5-HIAA increased by enhancing dosage of fluoxetine, whlie the level of 5-HT,DA,DOPAC increased in low does and deceased in high dose.In social preference test, compared to the control group (1 255.50±117.95)cm,the 4 μM group (718.20±135.48)cm and 8 μM group (604.66±81.16) cm swam more distance in the area adjacent to the fish school(P<0.01);compared to the control group (1 005.61±54.86)s,the 4 μM group(754.21±85.63)s and 8 μM group(678.58±55.31)s had more time to swim in the area adjacent to the fish school(P<0.05). Conclutions The early-life exposed zebrafish shows the impaired long-term social-related behavior which may lead to sustained effect onneural development possibly via the changed level and function of the serotonin system.
