Evaluation of parent training combined with drug therapy in children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.

Abstract: Objective To assess the efficacy of two differentMethods for treating children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).Methods Sixty children from grade 1~6 who met the DSM-Ⅳ diagnostic criteria with ADHD were randomized to parent training combined with atomoxetine hydrochloride group (30 cases,the intervention group) and only atomoxetine hydrochloride treatment group (30 cases,the control group).Parents of the intervention group were given systematic training for twelve weeks by child care specialists and specialist nurses;The control group was not given this intervention.Before and after the treatment,Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC) and Parents and Teachers Rating Scale (SNAP-Ⅳ) were used to evaluate the efficacy.Results In intervention group,ADHD symptom and SNAP-Ⅳ both decreased,intelligence quotient (IQ) scores and learning abilities improved,these differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusions Parent training combined with atomoxetine hydrochloride can effectively improve the symptoms and study abilities of the children with ADHD,meanwhile it can promote communication and interaction between doctors and patients,relationship between parents and children comes better.This method is also easily accepted by parents and deserves to generalized in clinical practice.

摘要: 目的 评估两种治疗方法对儿童注意缺陷多动障碍(ADHD)的疗效。方法 将符合DSM-Ⅳ诊断标准的1~6年级小学生ADHD儿童随机分为两组,父母系统培训联合药物(盐酸托莫西汀胶囊)治疗即干预组30例,药物(盐酸托莫西汀胶囊)治疗即对照组30例。干预组由儿童保健专科医师及专科护师对儿童父母进行为期12周的系统培训;对照组不给予任何干预措施。干预前后使用韦氏儿童智力量表(WISC)、家长及教师评分量表SNAP-Ⅳ对两组患儿干预后疗效进行评估。结果 父母系统培训联合药物(盐酸托莫西汀胶囊)治疗,ADHD症状分级,家长及教师评分均有下降,智商(IQ)和学习能力均有提高,以上差异均有统计学意义(P<0.05)。结论 父母系统培训联合药物(盐酸托莫西汀胶囊)治疗能有效地改善儿童注意缺陷及多动症状,提高儿童学习能力,同时也促进了医患沟通和互动,改善了亲子关系,家长易于接受,值得推广。
