Abstract: Food is a common source of nutrition for both human body and gut microbiota. Various nutrients provided by different foods not only meet the needs of the body, but also affect the composition and abundance of intestinal microorganisms. Complementary foods and feeding in infancy are important for gut microbes to change, and the introduction of new foods and its conversion to family food will increase the diversity of gut microbiota. The intake of a variety of foods and the maintenance of their structure are beneficial to keeping the type and quantity of gut microbes, and have important implication for human health.
