Abstract: AIM: To study the variation of portal hemodynamic of cirrhosis using Compound Danshen pills. METHODS: 27 cases of compensated cirrhosis group (CCG) and 13 cases of decompensated cirrhosis group (DCCG) were treated with Compound Danshen pills.The diameter of portal vein (D_pv), cross section square of portal vein(S_pv), blood velocity of portal vein (V_pv), congestion index of portal vein(I_pv =S_pv/V_pv), and blood quantity of portal vein(Q_pv) were measured with Colored Doppler before and after the treatment.RESULTS: D_pv 、S_pv 、I_pv 、V_pv 、Q_pv were changed remarkably in CCG and DCCG after the treatment(P <0.05 or 0.01). CONCLUSION: Compound Danshen pills can obviously change the portal hemodynamic of cirrhosis.
