Clinical application of Flupirtine in pain management

Abstract

Abstract: Flupirtine is a new type of non-opioid analgesics for the selective neuronal potassium channel opener, with effects of analgesia, muscle relaxation and neuroprotective. Its main indication is myosalgia relevant to muscle tension. Flupirtine can be used to treat various types of acute and chronic pain, such as: low back pain, headache, cancer pain, and so on. As analgesics, the efficacy of Flupirtine is certain with light side effects. This article mainly reviews the clinical application of Flupirtine in pain management.
