Influence of the parental migration modes on problem behaviors of rural left-behind children

Abstract

Abstract: The left-behind children in rural areas are a group with high incidence of problem behaviors.Under different modes of parental migration,the performances in problem behaviors of the group are different.By reviewing relevant studies recently,it is found that compared with non-left-behind children,left-behind children whose parents both migrated have higher prevalence rate of problem behaviors.When father or mother migrates,problem behaviors caused by mother's migration are more prevalent than that of father's migration.This review aims to provide an insight for future study on problem behaviors of rural left-behind children,provide suggestions for the government to adopt appropriate policies for left-behind children,such as improving the policy of migrant children and encouraging parents to return to hometown to start businesses by themselves.

摘要： 农村留守儿童是问题行为的高发群体,在不同父母迁移模式下,留守儿童在问题行为表现上存在差异。通过综述近年来农村留守儿童问题行为的研究,发现相较于非留守儿童,父母均迁移儿童的问题行为总体发生率显著较高;在父亲或母亲一方迁移情况下,母亲迁移儿童的问题行为发生率显著高于父亲迁移。本综述为进一步深入研究农村留守儿童问题行为提供参考,为政府及社会采取合适的留守儿童政策,如完善儿童随迁政策、鼓励父母回乡创业等提供理论依据和实证支持。
