Study of quercatin reverse druy-resistance of leukemia cell in vitro1

Abstract: AIM: To explore the effect of quercetin on resistance reversal and its mechanism. METHODS: Human erythroleukemic cell line K562 and its doxorubicin- resistant counterpart K562 A02 were used in the study.Cytotoxicity was assessed by MTT assay.P-gp expression was measured with flow cytometry. RESULTS: Quercetin of 10μmol·L -1 had no effect on the multidrug resistance reversal and P-gp expression.However, quercetin of 20 μmol·L -1 could increase chemosensitivity of F562 A02 and decrease the P-gp expression. CONCLUSION: Quercetin can reverse drug-resistance of K562 A02 cell to Daunorubicin.
