Progress in treatment of multiple sclerosis

Abstract

Abstract: Multiple sclerosis is a demyelinating disease affecting central nervous system induced by a chronic autoimmune disorder. Its exactly etiological mechanism remains unknown. Viral infection and autoimmunity functional disorder may be one of the reasons. In this article, we mainly reviewed the progress in the treatment of the disease including immune depressant, gene therapy, transplant therapy of stem cells and other therapies.
