Abstract: AIM:To study the protective effects of salidroside on isoprenaline induced acute myocardial ischemia in rats. METHODS:The model was established by subcutaneous injection (s. c.) of isoprenaline. The change of Electrocardiogram (ECG) was observed. The levels of LDH, CK, SOD and MDA in serum were measured and the cardiac infarction area was examined. RESULTS:Salidroside (6, 12, 24 mg/kg) could effectively reverse the evident changes of T wave and J point induced by isoproterenol, notably decrease the levels of LDH, CK andMDA and increase the levels of SOD in serum(P <0. 01, P <0. 05 vsModel), and significantly reduce the cardiac infarction area (P <0. 01). CONCLUSION:Salidroside protects rats from acute myocardial ischemia.
