Abstract: AIM: To observe the effect of yangyang oral liquid on sexual function in a rat model of castration. METHODS: Rat castration models were given each yangyang oral liquid (4.9 and 9.6 g·kg^-1) (ig) for 21 days.The sexual test was adopted to investigate sexual behavior in the rat models. RESULTS: Like nanbao capsule, yangyang oral liquid could significantly enhance the frequency of copulation in the rat models (P < 0.01), and in yangyang oral liquid group, the weight of prostate gland and lavator was lost became thinner, as compared with those in the control group (P < 0.01). CONCULUTION: Yangyang oral liquid can increase the sexual function in rat castration models.
