Abstract: Aim To evaluate the clinical significance of determination of plasma thrombomodulin in kidney-transplanted recipients.Methods The plasma thrombomodulin levels in 19 kidney trans-planted recipients were determined with ELISA method.Results TM levels in group of postoperation normalcy were significantly lower than those in group of cyclosporine nephrotoxicity and group of acute rejection(P<0.01), while the cyclosporine blood concentrations in group of cy-clsoporine nephrotoxicity were significantly higher than those in group of post-operation normalcy and group of acute rejection(P<0.05).Conclusion The determination of thrombo-mudulin may be helpful in distinguinshing cyclosporine nephrotoxixity from acute rection.
