Abstract: AIM: To analyze the efficacy betweenPantoprazole and other drugs in treatment ofPatients with activePeptic ulcer.METHODS: The efficacies ofPantoprazole or other drugs were analyzed by Meta-analysis in homogeneity test and combined test in 9 studies in treating activePeptic ulcer.RESULTS:(1)Homogeneity test showed that the cited studies were homogeneous withχ²=14.710 andP>0.05 ;and(2)in combined test,the combined OR=2.94 and its 95% confidence interval was in the range of 2.098 -4.128(χ²=39.14,P<0.01).CONCLUSION: The effectiveness ofPantoprazole is significantly superior to the medications used atPresent in treatment of activePeptic ulcer.It is necessary to further investigate the relationshiPbetween its clinical efficacy and the dosages,and betweenProtocols of drug administration and indications.
