Abstract: AIM: To study carbachol and thymosin on cellular immune function in patients with MODS. METHODS: 208 cases of MODS patients were selected, which were randomly divided into the normal treatment group, carbachol group, thymosin group and the combined treatment group. Using flow cytometry to test the changes of CD14+ monocots human leukocyte antigen DR (HLA-DR) and Lymphocyte apoptosis. RESULTS: Normal treatment group was compared with the other treatment groups, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05); carbachol group was compared with the thymosin group, the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05); the combination therapy group comparing with other groups, the difference was also significant (P<0.05). Carbachol and thymosin can enhance immune function in patients with MODS, combined treatment doing better effect. CONCLUSION: Carbachol and thymosin has some clinical value on the treatment of MODS.
