Pathogenesis and treatment of the bone disease of multiple myeloma

Abstract: Multiple myeloma is a plasma cell malignancy and bone disease is one of the important clinical features.The mechanisms include the increase of bone resorption and the decrease of bone formation.The progress in acknowledge of the pathophysiology of myeloma bone disease leads to the development of new targeted drugs. This article summarizes the progression of the pathogenesis and treatment of multiple myeloma bone disease.
