Abstract: Aim and Methods To study the clinical effect of piracetam compound (PC) and piracetam on benign hypomnesis in middle, -senile patients, double-blind method was adopted to devide 60 patients (M42, F18, age 58. 0±7. 6a) into two equal groups. Patients in group A received PC 2 capsules, po, lid for-60 days, while the patients in group B received pirac-etam. Results The memory quotient (MQ) and MMSE were increased by 24. 3 ± 10. 9 and 2. 1 ± 1. 7 in group A and 11. 9 ± 6. 3 and 1. 5±1. 0 in group B, The MQ Was increased more significantly in group A than in group B (P< 0. 01). Conclusion Piracetam compound has better effect than piracetam alone in treating middle-senik benign hypomnesis.
