Abstract: Vitamin A is one of the important nutrients for human growth and development. It not only participates in body's metabolism, maintains the body's normal visual response, but also maintains the integrity of the mucosal epithelium. Additionally, vitamin A plays an auxiliary anti-infection role in intestinal infections and respiratory infections. This review will briefly summarize the correlation between vitamin A deficiency and infectious diseases in children.
