Clinical study of the therapeutic effects of traditional Chinese medicines on patients with leg eczema

Abstract: AIM: To investigate the clinical efficacy of traditional Chinese medicines on patients with leg eczema. METHODS: 90 cases of leg eczema were randomly divided into control group and treatment group.The control group with 30 cases was treated with antihistamines, and the treatment group with 60 cases was treated with oral and topically washing traditional Chinese medicines according to the syndrome differentiation.Each patient in both groups was treated for four weeks. RESULTS: The total effective rate was 86.7 % in treatment group and 53.3 % in control group (P <0.01). CONCLUSION: The oral traditional Chinese medicines combined with washing method according to the syndrome differentiation is effective in treatment of leg eczema.
