Observation of therapeutic effect of mizolastine and total glucosides of paeony capsule on chronic idiopathic urticaria

Abstract

Abstract: AIM: To observe the therapeutic effect of mizolastine combined with total glucosides of paeony (TGP) capsule on chronic idiopathic urticaria.METHODS: According to treatment sequence, 120 cases of chronic idiopathic urticariapatients were divided into two groups, the treatment group were given mizolastine and TGP, the control group only given mizolastine. RESULTS: The effective rates of the treatment group and the control group were 88 % and 87 %, respectively. There was no sig nificant difference between the two groups ;After 3 months, the relapse rates of the treatment group and the control group were 43.27 % and 71.20 %, respectively. There was significant difference between the two groups (P <0.01). CONCLUSION: Mizolastine combined with TGP capsule may be effective for the treatment and preventing the relapse of chronic idiopathic urticaria.
